The Carnegie Singers

The Carnegie Singers, founded in 1974,  is a mixed-voice choir which meets weekly (Wednesdays, 7.30pm)  in the Carnegie Arts Centre in Workington. The choir is very friendly and welcoming and the emphasis is very much on enjoyment through singing. Most of the items are performed in four-part harmony and cover quite a wide musical range from well-known classical pieces, musicals ,pop medleys,  light music and Christmas carols and songs. The choir puts on 3-4 concerts per year in a variety of venues in and around Workington and also organises social events for its members.

Service access criteria: A willingness to attend on a regular basis, A willingness to learn and get enjoyment from doing so and no prior musical experience is required.
