The Kite Trust supports LGBTQ+ young people in Cambridge and the surrounding area through a range of free activities and support services.
We offer social groups and 1-to-1 sessions designed to help young people feel safe, make friends, and explore their identities. Our activities include craft sessions, media and education opportunities, and community events that help young people connect with others they might not meet elsewhere.
In addition to in-person support, we provide a postal lending library, a monthly newsletter, and Netflix parties to help young people stay connected and engaged.
Support is also available for parents, carers, and other family members of LGBTQ+ young people, helping families understand and celebrate their loved ones.

'When I came out my family didn't accept me, I felt lonely and abandoned, then I found out about The Kite Trust and my life changed for the best. I found a second family where I am not afraid to be who I am, I can finally be myself and not feel judged or ridiculed.'
