The Red Hen Project

The Red Hen Project helps children to achieve at home and in school. It also runs outreach activities, courses & events for local parents so they can meet & support each other. If you live in North Cambridge or Orchard Park and contact The Red Hen Project, you will chat with a member of the team who will discuss the specific needs of your primary-school age child/ren and family.

One-to-one support may include addressing behavioural difficulties, reluctance to attend school, routines, accessing out of school activities, problems with housing, benefits, debts, relationship breakdown, domestic violence, or anything else that is making your life difficult.

You may also be  encouraged to take part in some group activities to meet other parents like you. The team at The Red Hen Project are qualified, experienced, non-judgmental and supportive. Many are parents themselves so know exactly what the challenges can be.

The Red Hen Project works with five primary schools in North Cambridge: Arbury, King’s Hedges, The Grove, Shirley, and Orchard Park.

You don’t have to be supported one-to-one by a Red Hen team member to attend outreach activities or events  – contact The Red Hen Project to find out what is happening, where and when.

Support from The Red Hen Project is free.
