The Healing Power of Creativity. Weekly sessions for adults managing mild to complex mental health difficulties.
Cognivity deliver Arts and Health projects which focus on the use of Creativity as a therapheutic vehicle to support recovery, and see it as an important, if not major component in building confidence, resilience and independence. Our sessions facilitate the maintainance and management of good mental health and wellness.
Participants can develop creative and technical skills, and meet other people who find creativity therapeutic and helpful in maintaining their wellbeing. We Provide a wide range of creative mediums (painting, drawing, clay, textiles, wood, mosaics, sculpture) for participants to use to explore their own creativity.
The environment (Sherwell Church Hall) is supportive and wellcoming for those wishing to discover creativity or continue to develop a creative journey.
Some participants use the sessions for developing an art and design portfolio for progression onto higher education; Degree or Master courses.
