Citizens Advice Newham provides free, confidential, and impartial advice to residents of Newham on a wide range of issues affecting daily life. Our experienced team can help you with topics such as benefits, work, debt and money, consumer rights, relationships, housing, law and rights, discrimination, tax, healthcare, and education.

How to access our service:

  • We do not offer a drop-in service at our Star Lane office. To book a call-back, call 020 3855 5233 every Monday morning (except public holidays).
  • Our team in Canning Town offers a phone-in service every Monday morning between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Call 020 3855 5233 (except public holidays).
  • If you cannot call, you can write to us at: Citizens Advice Newham, the Hub, 123 Star Lane, Canning Town, London, E16 4PZ, and we will get in touch.
  • If you are a parent or carer of a child in Newham, you can arrange an appointment with our adviser at the Shipman Youth Centre, Prince Regent Lane, London E16 3JH. Visit the Centre for more information.
  • Patients of Manor Park Surgery (30 Church Road, London E12 6AQ) who are registered with the Newham transitional team can arrange an appointment through the surgery.

Important information:

  • We cannot offer same-day appointments. After your initial call, an assessor will contact you for an initial assessment and may book you an appointment if we can help.
  • Our service is in high demand and we may not be able to see everyone.
