Aphasia Support

Aphasia Support Specialist offers long-term, specialist-led communication support for people living with Aphasia or Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA), as well as their families.

Our services are designed to meet the changing needs of individuals at different stages of recovery. Led by experienced Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs), our structured group sessions help develop purposeful conversation and functional communication skills.

  • Groups of 8-20 people, led by an SLT and supported by regular volunteers
  • In-person groups: 2.5 hours per session
  • Online groups: 1.5 hours per session
  • Sessions run weekly across three terms a year (40 out of 52 weeks)
  • Each weekly group costs £15-£20 per session
  • Annual membership subscription: £20

We are committed to making our support accessible to all. If cost is a barrier, please let us know so we can help.

Our groups are friendly, supportive, and tailored to help people regain confidence and communication skills, no matter how long it takes.
