If you are homeless or at risk of losing your home in Ealing, our Housing Options and Homelessness service is here to help.
We offer support and guidance to anyone who is eligible and facing homelessness, including those at risk within the next eight weeks. Our team will work with you to develop a personal housing plan, aiming to prevent homelessness wherever possible. If it is not safe or possible to remain in your current home, we will help you explore alternative accommodation options.
- Personalised support: We create a written plan with you, outlining steps you and the council will take together.
- Temporary accommodation: If you are already homeless and meet certain criteria (such as having dependent children or being a vulnerable single person), we may have a legal duty to provide emergency temporary accommodation.
- Private renting advice: We help you understand your options, including private renting, and provide realistic guidance about affordability and location.
- Early intervention: The sooner you contact us, the more options we can offer to help you keep your home or find suitable accommodation.
How to access help: You can apply for homelessness assistance online. Applications are monitored daily during working hours (Monday to Friday, 9am–4:30pm, excluding bank holidays). If you apply, a member of our team will contact you within two working days, or sooner for urgent cases.
If you are unable to apply online due to an emergency (such as fire, flood, or risk of violence) or a disability, please call us directly.
Important: Council and housing association accommodation is limited and prioritised for those in greatest need. Most people will need to consider private renting, and it is important to be realistic about what you can afford.
