Walking for Health
Verified service

Walking for Health is a social activity for those less able or have health conditions to walk with those that are alike and those that are more able. This can be done by using Nordic Walking poles that can be loaned for free from the walker leader at the beginning of the session.

Nordic Poles allow the participants that are less able to walk further by reducing pain & discomfit in the lower part of the body, and back. They also supports a more upright posture which aids those with breathing difficulties such as COPD.

The added support of the poles can also increase confidence, which allows the person to walk further and build up their whole body strength gradually.

Our walks are located in the Minster, Sheerness & Leysdown area.
