Op RESTORE is a specialist NHS service dedicated to supporting veterans, service leavers, reservists, and their families who have physical health injuries or ongoing medical problems linked to their time in the UK armed forces.
Our experienced teams, working in partnership with military and civilian medical professionals and armed forces charities, understand the unique challenges of military life and the long-term care needs that may arise after service.
Who can use this service?
- Anyone who has served at least one day in the UK armed forces
- Individuals soon to leave or currently leaving the UK armed forces
- Veterans with physical health injuries attributable to their time in service, regardless of when the injury occurred
- Those with ongoing medical problems related to a physical injury sustained in service
How does it work?
- Op RESTORE provides access to specialist NHS care for physical health needs related to military service
- Support is available for veterans, service leavers, reservists, families, and carers
- Our service is hosted at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and works closely with military charities
Accessing the service
- Referrals are accepted only from GPs. If you think you or someone you know may benefit, please ask your GP to complete the Op RESTORE referral form and email it to the service
- General enquiries can be made via the contact form on our website, but medical or patient information should not be shared through this form
Op RESTORE is here to help you get the care and support you need for physical health issues related to your military service, no matter when they occurred or how long ago you left the armed forces.
It does not matter when the physical health injury or related medical problems occurred or how long ago you left the Armed Forces, Op RESTORE can help you if:
- you have served at least one day in the UK Armed Forces
- you are soon to leave or are in the process of leaving the UK Armed Forces
- you have sustained a physical health injury that was attributable to your time in Service regardless of when that happened
- you have ongoing medical problems related to the physical injury sustained in Service
- we have received a clinical referral from your GP
