The DMNVP team work with service users and their families to gather feedback about their experience with Maternity services and then work in partnership with the trusts and local maternity system across Devon to ensure high standards of care are delivered. We work hard to gather people’s stories and feedback, seeking to ensure the voices of all our communities across Devon are captured and fed back to the trusts. We identify issues and common themes and discuss this with boards and trusts to make improvements for other service users. Doing this provides an opportunity to make a real difference- to prevent reoccurrences of difficult experiences of care or celebrate and share great work and good practice.
We work hard to ensure that people know we are here and what we are trying to do. We have an ever growing presence on social media and on the wards and gather feedback via anonymous feedback surveys on our website. We also speak to people and groups individually, often seeking feedback on specific issues that have come up and been reported to us.
