Mutual Aid Medway Outreach is a community-led initiative dedicated to helping residents in Medway overcome loneliness and isolation. Our friendly volunteers offer both telephone befriending and monthly face-to-face sessions across Medway, providing a welcoming space for anyone who feels cut off from their support networks.
We offer a variety of outreach sessions designed to suit different needs and interests:
- Coffee, Chat & Connect: Relaxing meetups in local cafes/restaurants for adults 18+, perfect for casual chats and making new friends.
- The Friendship Spectrum: Specialised befriending group for Autistic adults, those with ADD, ADHD, or other lifelong conditions that make forming friendships more challenging.
- Brainstormz: Facilitated group for anyone with a neurological condition, run by experienced volunteers with lived experience.
- Walk & Talk: Light exercise for all abilities, with fully accessible routes and a focus on enjoying nature and company together.
- Board Games: Fun sessions in partnership with Playopolis, offering games for all interests, played collectively or in pairs.
- Health Empowerment: Supportive group for those with chronic health conditions, providing a safe space to share experiences and advice.
- Climate Course: Interactive and informative sessions on climate topics, run in community spaces and supported by local council initiatives.
