FareChance employability and life skills for young people

FareChance is an inspiring, supportive, and accessible personal and professional development programme for young people aged 18 to 25 in Bristol. Delivered by FareShare South West, this 8-week programme helps participants learn practical warehouse skills, build self-esteem, and embrace their full potential in work, education, and daily life.

What does FareChance offer?

  • Hands-on work experience in a friendly, welcoming warehouse environment in Bedminster, South Bristol.
  • Courses focused on employment, personal development, and training, with practical warehouse management experience.
  • Opportunities to develop friendships, teamwork, and confidence.
  • Skills that are transferable to many industries, including logistics, event planning, marketing, fundraising, delivery driving, data analysis, and more.

Who is FareChance for?

  • Young people aged 18 to 25 who have limited access to mainstream support.
  • Those who are unemployed, at risk of exclusion from education, seeking work experience, or have physical/mental health needs or learning difficulties.
  • No previous experience or skills required—just a willingness to get involved.

Programme Details:

  • 8-week duration, with a maximum of 8 participants per cohort.
  • Sessions on Mondays or Tuesdays for personal development, and Thursdays for the Warehouse Takeover.
  • Delivered from our warehouse in Bedminster, South Bristol.

How to join: Referrals are welcome from organisations supporting young people, or you can refer yourself. Express your interest or apply here.

Cost: The programme is free to join, thanks to generous support from local funders.
