Botanical Brothers Gardening Project for Fathers

Sign up via their Eventbrite:

We have co-produced a subgroup of the Father’s United with Purpose group called Botanical Brothers (BB). Botanical Brothers is a new initiative with a clear aim to improve the emotional health and wellbeing of fathers and male carers from ethnically diverse background in the London Borough of Newham.

Health Visitors; Fawn Bess Leith and Mfon Archibong, the project leads, have received approval and some funding from the Queen’s Nursing Institute in collaboration with the Elsie Wagg Innovation Scholarship in addition to Family Hubs.

BB project will offer a safe non-judgemental space for fathers to build social networks and connect with each other to create a sense of belonging, ownership, self-worth, creativity, learn/develop gardening and culinary skills, embracing diversity in culture and food, saving money and budgeting.

In addition, it aims to improve family relationships and build community capacity.
