Quit Well Newham is a free, specialist smoking cessation service for residents of the London Borough of Newham. Run by Queen Mary University of London, the service provides evidence-based support to help you quit smoking and stay smoke-free. You’ll receive a personalised quit plan from a trained practitioner for up to 12 weeks, with weekly nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) and access to electronic cigarettes where appropriate. You can access support by telephone and/or digital means, and you’ll have free access to the Smoke Free app. Face-to-face support is available at a location near you. The service supports multiple languages: English, Bengali, Urdu, Gujarati and Lithuanian, with British Sign Language (BSL) support also available. Eligibility is for smokers aged 12 and over who reside in the London Borough of Newham (postcode availability may vary). Waiting times are typically short, with no waiting list in many cases.
