Medway Men in Sheds is a welcoming community group for men aged 18 and over who are not currently in work, including both retired and working-age members. The project offers a safe, supportive space for men to connect, learn new skills, and improve their health and wellbeing.
What we offer:
- Up to 7 themed sessions each week, including music tuition, audio engineering, poetry, gardening, podcasting, woodcraft, design, engineering, electronics, and more.
- Opportunities for social interaction, skill development, and purposeful engagement.
- Special creative workshops, group socials, community radio, event stalls, and training.
- Access to a newly built timber workshop, opened in November 2024.
Sessions are tailored to members' interests and provide a vital sanctuary for improving mental health, reducing stress, and fostering a sense of belonging. The group also shares crucial health information and offers peer support, helping to combat social isolation and encourage positive lifestyle changes.
How to join:
- Apply for membership by phone, email, or by dropping in for a chat.
