If you have experienced sexual violence, the ISVA service can support you through all stages of the criminal justice process.
This might include deciding whether you wish to report what has happened to you, making a report to the police, giving evidence, following the process of the police investigation, going to court and applying for Criminal Injuries Compensation (CIC).
The ISVA service can also help you to access specialist support for other issues you may need help with, for example housing or immigration.
ISVAs are independent from the criminal justice system and the police. This means that their only focus is supporting you. Their job is not to tell you what to do, but to give you the information and support you need to make the decision that is best for you. We provide a safe space for you to discuss your options and decide how to proceed.
ISVAs can also offer you emotional support throughout the entire process, and can help you to access other services such as counselling or group work.
