Supported Self Help is a guided, self-help programme from Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Mind, designed to give you the skills to understand, protect, and improve your mental health.
This early intervention service is for anyone aged 18+ living in Charnwood, Hinckley and Bosworth, or Melton who is starting to experience symptoms of worsening mental health. Developed with people who have lived experience and professionals, it provides practical tools and support as soon as you need it.
How does it work?
- Six weekly one-to-one sessions delivered by trained mental health practitioners.
- Sessions are available via online video calls, telephone, or face-to-face at our community venue at The Grove Community Hub in Braunstone – whichever option is best for you and your needs.
- After a simple assessment, you and your practitioner will select one of eight pathways tailored to your needs:
- Anxiety and panic attacks
- Low mood
- Low self-esteem
- Stress
- Feeling alone
- Managing anger
- Grief and loss
- Menopause
- You'll try a range of self-help tools and build a personal toolkit to support your mental wellbeing.
Who is it for?
- Adults (18+) living in Charnwood, Hinckley and Bosworth, or Melton.
- People experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems.
How to access:
- Self-referral is available for residents of Charnwood, Hinckley and Bosworth, and Melton via online forms (see website for links).
