Do you need to park closer to where you are going in Hillingdon?
Hillingdon Council administers Blue Badges for eligible disabled people and Brown Badges for Hillingdon residents aged over 65. The schemes offer parking concessions and dedicated parking bays to help people access local places more easily.
- Blue Badges can help people with severe mobility problems, including some non-visible disabilities, park closer to their destination.
- You may qualify automatically for a Blue Badge if you meet certain benefit or visual impairment criteria, or the council may assess your application.
- Blue Badge holders can use the badge in any vehicle when the badge holder is travelling in it.
- Brown Badge holders can use dedicated Brown Badge bays in council-operated public car parks, some on-street locations and some privately operated car parks in Hillingdon.
- Brown Badge bays are placed close to car park exit points and, where possible, near pay and display machines.
Cost: Blue Badges cost £10 if approved. Brown Badges are free, but parking charges may still apply unless a Blue Badge is displayed too.
