The NHS Digital Weight Management Programme is a free, 12-week online programme for adults living with obesity who also have a diagnosis of diabetes and/or hypertension. It helps you develop healthier eating habits, increase activity, and lose weight, with personalised weight-management plans, recipes, nutrition advice, wellbeing support and practical tips. The programme is accessed online via a smartphone or computer, so you can take part wherever you are and fit it around your day. After referral by your GP, you will receive a text invitation within 2 working days to join the programme and then you can choose a weight-management plan that suits you. The programme emphasises digital delivery, with content and activities that you can complete at your own pace. Eligibility: You must be aged 18 or over, have a BMI of 30 or more (the threshold is 27.5 for people from Black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds who are at higher risk), and have a diagnosis of diabetes, hypertension, or both. If you do not meet the eligibility criteria, you can access online support from NHS Better Health or discuss alternative options with your GP. Cost: The programme is free to participants. Access requires internet connectivity. For any general questions about the programme, NHS England provides a dedicated email address: england.wmp-prevention@nhs.net.
