Yoga4NHS Staff Wellbeing Programme is a free, evidence-based course designed specifically for NHS staff. Delivered live on Zoom by expert tutors trained by the Yoga In Healthcare Alliance charity, the programme consists of six one-hour sessions that equip staff with a personalised toolkit of mind-body practices.
Key benefits include:
- Managing stress and anxiety
- Improving relaxation skills
- Reducing risk of burnout
- Gentle yoga protocol suitable for all levels, including chair-based options
- Modified practices to meet individual needs
- Catch-up service for missed sessions
- Access to rich resources, including handouts and short video practice sessions
The programme focuses on breathing techniques, mindfulness, relaxation, and physical postures to stretch and strengthen major muscle groups and increase mobility. No prior yoga experience is required.
Accreditation: For three years until September 2025, Yoga4NHS was accredited as 6 hours of CPD by the Royal College of General Practitioners. While formal accreditation has changed, the programme remains evidence-based and effective.
