North Kent Mind Supported Housing offers safe, fully furnished accommodation and tailored support for adults recovering from mental health problems, helping you build independence and confidence for your next steps in life.
We provide supported housing for 34 single adults across six sites in Dartford, Northfleet, Gravesend, and Swanley. Each site features self-contained flats, with most locations offering a communal room for social connection. Tenancies are short-hold, with a maximum stay of 24 months, designed to help you move on to general housing.
- Low-level support: Around 2 hours per week from a dedicated support worker
- Individual support plans and regular one-to-one sessions
- Out-of-hours call service and contact line during office hours
- Help with form filling (benefits, utilities, etc.)
- Health and safety checks, property maintenance
- Support with living skills, self-development, and person-centred planning
- Liaison with Community Mental Health Team if needed
- Financial advice and budgeting
- Support at meetings with other professionals (when appropriate)
- Opportunities for social activities and service development meetings
- Access to North Kent Mind’s wider range of services
Tenants pay their own utility bills to encourage independence. Rent is usually covered by Housing Benefits if eligible; council tax follows local authority reduction schemes.
We do not provide: personal care, shopping, or domestic duties.
