Woodworking - Skills4You

The woodwork course is available to anyone who is unemployed and living in the Copeland area at no cost.

The woodwork course offers training in a range of different techniques including the use of both tools and machinery. You will be able to create items for your own use as well as items to be sold in our lovely community shop. Some of the items you can expect to make are bird boxes, planters, toy boxes and garden furniture as well as smaller items to decorate your home and garden.

The course is tailored to each individual and learners are encouraged to come up with their own ideas of what they would like to make.

The course runs 3 days a week from 10am to 2pm over a minimum of 8 weeks, however we are flexible to meet individual needs and abilities; some people may attend for 1 day a week for a longer period of time, or build up the amount they attend.
