The Befriending Service offers the opportunity for a client to receive a weekly phone call or weekly in-person visit by one of our Befriending volunteers. The service provides clients with social contact and a friendly listening ear. There is no charge for this service. A home assessment is completed before the service commences. Clients and volunteers are matched by our Befriending Manager on similar interests, backgrounds, etc, to encourage a friendship to form.
We are always in need of volunteers for this service, if someone would like to get involved rather than receive the service themselves.
