Bucks Vision (visual impairment charity)

BucksVision is dedicated to supporting people with visual impairment across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. We offer a wide range of services to help individuals at every stage and severity of sight loss, ensuring that losing your sight does not mean losing your independence or connection with others.

Our services include:

  • Advice and Information: Guidance on living with sight loss, including eye-health and registration of sensory loss.
  • Support Groups: Opportunities to meet others with sight loss and enjoy social activities.
  • Activity Groups: Join groups to exercise your brain or keep fit.
  • Support at Home: Befriending, Reader, and Shopper volunteers can assist you in your home.
  • Equipment and Technology: Advice and support to help you access the latest equipment and technology for visual impairment.
  • Experience Days & Awareness Raising: Events and activities to build confidence and raise awareness.

We also deliver the Buckinghamshire Integrated Sensory Service (BISS), commissioned by Buckinghamshire Council, providing enablement and habilitation services, equipment provision, and support for children and adults with sight, hearing, and dual sensory loss.

Our friendly team of volunteers is at the heart of our service, helping to deliver activities and support throughout the region.

Get involved: You can join our volunteer team, attend our events, or simply reach out for support. We are here to help you maintain your independence and stay connected.
