Marlow Age Concern Day centre and Transport Office

Marlow Age Concern offers a range of friendly, practical services for older people in the Greater Marlow area, helping you stay connected, active, and supported.

  • Day Centre: Open Monday to Friday (9:30am–2:00pm), our warm and welcoming centre provides a safe space for older people to socialise, relax, and enjoy a freshly cooked two-course lunch (£10.00). Door-to-door pick-up and return is available anywhere in the Greater Marlow area. Enjoy refreshments and a variety of social activities in a comfortable environment.
  • Phoenix Stroke Club: Weekly support group for stroke survivors, meeting Mondays (2:00pm–4:30pm) with door-to-door transport. Social activities and personal assistance from a trained physiotherapist help members regain confidence and enjoy companionship.
  • Hospital Transport Service: Volunteer drivers provide reliable transport to local surgeries and hospitals (High Wycombe, Stoke Mandeville, John Radcliffe in Oxford, and London hospitals). We ensure you get to your appointment safely and return home afterwards. The service is charged at 65p per mile. Bookings are taken weekdays 10:00am–11:00am by phone, or leave a message for a callback.
  • Room Hire: Our day centre is available for hire most days after 3:00pm and all day most weekends, including kitchen use and parking. Rates start from £30.00 per half day (terms and conditions apply).
