bemix is a friendly, inclusive charity supporting autistic people and people with learning difficulties and/or learning disabilities in Kent.
We are a mix of people, including autistic individuals and those with learning difficulties, working and learning together. Whether you want to be seen working, heard campaigning, or belong to a welcoming group, bemix helps people achieve their goals.
What we offer:
- Support to speak up, make choices, and become powerful and influential.
- Opportunities to become more independent in learning, housing, work, health, money, travel, leisure, and relationships.
- Positive action to challenge negative attitudes about disability.
- Work with local communities to promote full inclusion and end segregation for people with learning difficulties and/or autism.
Most of our work is in Canterbury, Dover, Thanet, Sittingbourne, and Medway, but we also offer support in other areas of Kent.
Our approach is person-centred, empowering, and focused on building confidence and independence.
