Step Change Studios offers a wide range of dance opportunities for disabled people and those with sight loss, both online and in-person. Our sessions are designed to be fun, inclusive, and accessible to all abilities, with options for group classes, private lessons, and digital participation.
- Sunday Classes, London: Weekly 60-minute dance classes for disabled people aged 11+, held every Sunday in Queensway, London. Supported by Active Westminster. Cost: £3 per class. All abilities welcome. Register in advance to join.
- Blind Ballroom, London: 70-minute ballroom and Latin dance classes for blind and partially sighted adults, every Saturday morning in Westminster. Learn a range of dances in a supportive, sociable setting with volunteer dance partners. Register to join.
- Volunteer Dance Partners: Join as a volunteer dance partner to support blind and partially sighted students in Latin and Ballroom dance every Saturday morning in Central London. Relevant dance experience and regular attendance required.
- Sense Saturdays: Free 45-minute Zoom 'Exercise through Dance' sessions for disabled people every Saturday at 11am. Suitable for all abilities, can be done seated or standing. Register in advance to join.
- Seated Audio Dance: Free 50-minute telephone dance classes every Wednesday at 11am, tailored for people who prefer audio communication. Connect via phone call and enjoy accessible dance moves to favourite music. Register in advance to join.
- Dance Dosti: Online: Free pre-recorded video and audio dance sessions for people with sight loss, available in English, Bengali, Gujarati, and Hindi. Open to everyone. Register through the Dance Dosti website.
- Private Lessons: Book individual, partner, or private group dance lessons in your chosen style. Tailored sessions for fun, fitness, skill-building, or performance. Contact us for details.
All classes are welcoming and inclusive, with adaptations for different needs. Sessions are available in-person in London and digitally nationwide.
