Move Together

Move Together provides support, advice and guidance to people living with long-term health conditions or who could benefit from moving more for their physical and mental health. It helps adults aged 16+ in Oxfordshire who are currently inactive to move more, with coordinators discussing options tailored to needs and affordability. The service can offer access to home activity packs, exercise sessions, leisure centres, walking groups, online classes and more. Eligibility includes being 16+, doing 150 minutes of activity or less per week, having a long-term health condition or disability, being pregnant or within a year after birth, being ready to become more active, and living in Oxfordshire (or GP address in Oxfordshire). The Move Together coordinators’ support is FREE; many activities are free, while some are discounted or full price. Access is via an enquiry (for yourself or someone else) through movetogether.org.uk, or by contacting your local Move Together coordinator by phone. Local coordinators include Oxford City: 07824 321720; Cherwell District Council: 01295 221575; South & Vale: 07717 836750; West Oxfordshire: 01993 861564. Move Together is funded by Oxfordshire County Council Public Health and coordinated by Active Oxfordshire in partnership with city and district councils.
