Waythrough's Cumbria Safe Haven offers free one-to-one and community support for anyone 18 and over living in Cumbria. Our services are designed to assist anyone seeking help. 

 

Services We Provide

•A welcoming and non-judgmental place for individuals struggling emotionally and socially with life 
challenges, or those facing a mental health crisis.

•We support individuals to understand and improve their mental health.
•Use therapeutic interventions to guide the person-centred sessions we deliver. 
•One-to-one appointments every day either face-to-face, via videocall or via telephone.
•Provide continued support to anyone who has used our services

•Person centred advice and guidance
•Developing positive coping strategies
•Understanding around specific mental health conditions
•Signposting to other relevant services

 

One-to-One Appointments

•Our appointments take place in our Workington office

•Appointments are available 7 days a week, with flexible timings throughout the day (morning, afternoon, and evening).

•We have no waiting lists; most appointments can be booked within the same week.

•Appointments last up to 45 minutes per session

 

Community Drop-In Sessions

Our weekly drop-in sessions are held at:

•Maryport Library

•The Market Hall Wigton

•Greenbank Community Centre

•Egremont Methodist Church

•Workington Library

No referral or appointment necessary to attend

How to Refer (One-to-One Appointments)

•Self-referrals can be placed via telephone, email or text

•Referrals are also welcomed from family/friends and other professionals such as GP's or mental health practitioners.

The support provided by Cumbria Safe Haven is free to access for anyone aged 18 and over living in Cumbria and who are struggling to manage their mental health and wellbeing.
