The Family Justice Service (FJS) is Croydon's dedicated domestic abuse support service. We offer independent, confidential, and non-judgemental help to anyone affected by domestic abuse, regardless of age, gender, background, or circumstance.
Our experienced team of Independent Domestic Abuse Advocates (IDVA) provides:
- Emotional and personal support to help you cope and recover
- Advocacy and assistance in accessing essential services, including housing, children’s and adult services
- Risk assessment and safety planning tailored to your situation
- Guidance on benefits eligibility and referrals to mental health services
- Help applying for non-molestation or occupation orders
- Support in obtaining legal advice
If your case is managed by FJS, you’ll be assigned a dedicated case worker who will advocate for you and help you understand the nature of abuse. If ongoing support isn’t available, we’ll offer safety advice and direct you to a suitable service.

- Age
- Gender and gender reassignment
- Sexual orientation
