Tenants Advice is here to help tenants across the UK resolve issues with unsuitable or unsafe housing. If you’re living with outstanding repairs, damp and mould, leaks, infestations, faulty heating, or other problems, our team can guide you through your rights and help you take action.

We offer free advice and support, including a no win, no fee claims service for housing disrepair. Our experienced advisers will help you understand your tenancy agreement, your landlord’s legal obligations, and whether you’re eligible for compensation. We can refer your case to a panel solicitor who will act on your behalf, ensuring repairs are carried out and your rights are protected.

  • Common issues we help with: Damp and mould, leaks, rotten windows/doors, infestations, faulty boilers/heating, and more.
  • Accessible support: Advice available in braille for visual impairment, text/WhatsApp and text relay for hearing impairment, and multilingual support for non-English speakers.
  • Compensation: You may be entitled to compensation for inconvenience, damage to property, personal injury, or financial loss due to disrepair.
  • No win, no fee: You pay nothing unless your claim is successful. Our panel solicitors deduct 25% plus VAT from any compensation awarded.
