Bridges Homeless Support offers free, welcoming support sessions for homeless and vulnerably housed people in Newham. Our services are designed to provide practical help, a sense of community, and a safe space to relax.
- Saturday Breakfast: Join us every Saturday morning at Memorial Community Church for a sit-down hot breakfast. Enjoy a full cooked breakfast (sausage, bacon, egg, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, hash brown, and toast) served from 9am to 11am, with tea, coffee, cereals, and porridge available all morning. Our friendly volunteers create a hospitable environment, and we offer signposting to other support agencies.
- Monday Drop-in: On Mondays, our drop-in session provides a place to relax with tea and coffee, access shower and laundry facilities, and receive clothes and shoes from our bank. Most weeks, an NHS nurse clinic is available. We also offer help with benefits, housing, and other forms, as well as practical activities and small group work to build life skills, confidence, and hope.
- Special Christmas Event: Held on the Saturday closest to Christmas Day, this event features a breakfast roll, fruit snacks, games, a film, a traditional Christmas carol service, a festive dinner, Christmas presents, and more.
All services are free of charge and take place at Memorial Community Church, 395 Barking Road, Plaistow E13 8AL.
We are here to support you—whether you need a hot meal, a shower, clean clothes, or just a friendly place to spend time. No referral is needed—just come along during our opening hours.
