b:friend is a charity supporting older people dealing with loneliness and social isolation. We support isolated older people with a volunteer befriender who commits to visiting them once a week for a cuppa and a natter to reduce their feelings of loneliness and help them feel more connected to their community. Our befriending is not time limited. We also offer telephone befriending.
All our volunteers are required to complete an enhanced DBS check which is supported by the charity.
We also host weekly social clubs across South Yorkshire and Chesterfield.
