Free Strength & Balance Classes
For the last year, Wellmoor have been offering Strength & Balance classes in local communities including Chagford and Okehampton. The classes are taught by a qualified Postural Stability Instructor, and are aimed at those aged 65+ who are at risk of having a fall, to help improve balance and confidence with movement.
A participant said, ‘when I had a fall at home, remembering the techniques I had learnt at the strength & balance class was really helpful, making me stay calm until help arrived’.
The classes will be free of charge, and will include refreshments.
