YMCA Romford Housing offers safe, supportive accommodation for people aged 18–40 with low to medium support needs. Our hostel provides 148 furnished rooms and 63 self-contained move-on properties, giving residents a secure place to stay for up to two years.
What we offer:
- Personalised support plans and risk assessments from our dedicated team of support workers.
- Access to health and wellbeing facilities, including a gym, weights room, and group exercise classes.
- On-site laundry, IT suite, restaurant (with breakfast and dinner included), and communal kitchen.
- Excellent transport links, within walking distance of Romford train station.
- Signposting and guidance for resettlement, mental health support, and help with drug and alcohol issues.
- Recreational activities to build social skills, plus chaplaincy services and support.
We work closely with external agencies, partners, and local authorities to help residents move towards independent living, employment, and training. Our projects focus on employment, education and training, social inclusion, life skills, health and wellbeing, and resident engagement.
Eligibility: Applicants must be aged 18–40 and either working or in receipt of benefits. Residents may self-refer or be referred by an outside agency.
