Opportunities for the community to receive a free NHS health check and advice to improve their health.
The Wokingham Community Wellbeing Outreach project will run across Wokingham Borough to the end of June 2025. The project aims to pilot outreach activities to reduce health inequalities. We will run health and wellbeing outreach hubs in community settings across Wokingham. Providing health checks and holistic support to enable people to take action to improve their health.
Our community wellness outreach team are offering free health checks for:
- People aged Plus, not on medication or receiving treatment for high blood pressure, heart failure, diabetes, cholesterol or chronic kidney disease and those who are eligible for a NHS Health Check.
The free health check will include :
- Height and weight measurements
- Blood pressure reading
- Cholesterol reading
- Blood sugar reading
- Advice and guidance on issues that may impact your health and well being
