Do you need practical help at home to stay independent and safer day to day?
Age UK Redbridge, Barking & Havering's Home Support Service is for residents aged over 50 in Redbridge, Havering and Barking and Dagenham. The service assesses your needs and can offer practical support at home, but it is not a care agency.
- Help with bathing or showering on weekly visits
- Domestic cleaning, laundry, ironing and shopping
- Help with bills, correspondence and pension collection
- Support with exercise programmes prescribed by a GP, physiotherapist or occupational therapist
- Reablement support after a fall, illness or operation
- Help to work towards everyday goals, such as using public transport or walking to a local shop
Cost: Charges apply; the cost depends on the help you need.
