Havering Women’s Aid – Supporting Victims of Domestic Abuse
We are a local charity dedicated to supporting victims of domestic abuse. Our mission is to empower victims, keep them safe from harm, and help them build a life free from fear and violence.
Self-Referral
Women: Call 01708 728759 to self-refer.
Men: Call 01708 737364 (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm) to self-refer to our Havering Men’s Domestic Abuse Service.
Professional Referrals

Refuge Accommodation
Our first refuge in Havering opened in 1978, with a second refuge opening in 2010. Together, we can provide safe accommodation for 23 women and their children.
Each resident is supported by a dedicated key worker.
Support includes both emotional and practical assistance, tailored to individual needs.
Our aim is to help women rebuild their lives and move forward with confidence and independence.
Outreach & Floating Support
We offer daily drop-in advice sessions across the borough. These sessions provide:

Signposting to specialist support
Our Floating Support Team provides ongoing, tailored support, including:
Safety planning
Advocacy and obtaining civil court orders
Help with benefits and housing
Liaising with other services
Support groups
Confidence and self-esteem building

We provide a specialist service for male victims of domestic abuse living or working in Havering.
