Chatter Matters at Kendal Leisure Centre is a welcoming community space where everyone is invited to connect, relax, and enjoy friendly company. Our sessions are designed to support wellbeing and reduce isolation, offering a warm and inclusive environment for all.
What we offer:
- Hot drinks, soup, and a roll to keep you warm and nourished
- Health and wellbeing advice from friendly staff
- Signposting to local services and support
- Health checks available during sessions
- Table games and activities including table tennis, Boccia, and New Age Curling
- Optional seated exercise class (Fridays 11:50am - 12:30pm)
Session times:
- Fridays: 12 noon - 2pm (£2 per person)
- Tuesdays: 10am - 12 noon (£2 per person)
Who can attend? Friends, family, and carers are all welcome. No referral or membership is needed—just drop in!
Cost: £2 per person, payable on arrival.

Access: The venue is accessible and suitable for people with mobility needs. All are welcome to join, regardless of background or ability.
