NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Talking Therapies offers free, confidential psychological support for adults aged 17 and over who are experiencing common mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, stress, and related conditions.
What we help with:

- Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD)
- Social anxiety
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Health anxiety
- Panic attacks
- Phobias
- Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Stress
- Low confidence or self-esteem
- Sleep disturbance
Who can use this service?
- Anyone aged 17 and over (no upper age limit)
- Self-referral is available – you do not need a diagnosis or GP referral
- Support is available for older adults (65+)
How it works:
- Complete a simple online self-referral form on our website
- Describe your difficulties and complete some short questionnaires
- If suitable, you will be offered an initial assessment (usually by phone, lasting about 30 minutes)
- Treatment is short-term and tailored to your needs – from a couple of sessions to weekly sessions over a few months
All treatments are provided free of charge.
