Let's Get Digital, West Cumbria is a free initiative supporting community-based organisations in West Cumbria to help local people gain essential digital skills for everyday life. Whether it's applying for jobs, accessing benefits, or paying for parking, digital skills are increasingly vital, yet many people struggle to keep up in a digital-first world.
How does it work? We offer free membership to the Digital Champions Network for organisations in West Cumbria, with licences for up to 10 staff or volunteers to train as Digital Champions. These Champions receive access to 25+ CPD certified training courses, hundreds of curated resources, tech guides, session plans, and training tips. Built-in project management and reporting tools help track progress and demonstrate impact.

Organisations already involved include charities, libraries, housing associations, and business groups. You don't need to be a digital organisation—just committed to helping people with digital skills. The project encourages collaboration among local groups to tackle digital challenges together.
Cost: This service is completely free for eligible organisations, with all costs covered by our sponsors.

If you are a voluntary sector organisation, a community group or event a company giving support in the community, you can apply to receive this free training. The process is very quick and easy and Sarah is on hand to push your application through and give you and your Digital Champions the support they need.
