Information and support for unpaid carers

Carers UK is here to support anyone caring for a friend or family member. No matter what you’re experiencing as a carer, we offer a range of free resources, guidance, and community support to help you navigate your caring role.

What we offer:

  • Information and guidance: Our website is your first port of call for advice on benefits, practical help, and support in the workplace. Download factsheets, guides, or order printed copies from our online shop.
  • Helpline: If you have questions about caring, our telephone Helpline is available Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm (including Bank Holidays) on 0808 808 7777. For more complex queries, contact our email Helpline at advice@carersuk.org.
  • Connect with other carers: Our online forum, Carers Connect, is a safe and supportive community where you can share experiences and find connection. Weekly Care for a Cuppa sessions via Zoom offer a chance to chat with other carers. Membership is free and gives you access to these resources.
  • Your wellbeing: The Carers Active Hub provides free resources to help you stay active, including exercise videos, carer stories, and expert tips. Regular online Share and Learn activities—such as yoga, accessible exercise, meditation, and creative arts—are available to boost your wellbeing. Many sessions are recorded for you to watch anytime.

Join our community: As a Carers UK member, you’ll receive regular email updates, our quarterly magazine packed with information and carers’ stories, access to our online forum, and exclusive benefits and discounts. Join now for free.

Stay connected: Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn for the latest news and campaigns for carers.
