Grow Wild Conservation Volunteering is a welcoming, hands-on programme that brings people together to care for local green spaces in Ham and Twickenham. Our weekly sessions are designed to benefit the community, support health and wellbeing, and foster a deeper connection to nature.
What we offer:
- Weekly conservation activities in Ham Lands and Meadway Orchard, Twickenham.
- All equipment provided—just bring yourself and your enthusiasm!
- Opportunities to learn new skills such as building dead-hedges, clearing invasive species, coppicing, and food growing.
- Accessible sessions for people of all abilities, including areas suitable for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility.
- Friendly, supportive environment—no prior experience needed.
- Referrals welcome from social care organisations and social prescribing.
Session Details:
- Ham Lands: Mondays 1–3pm (in partnership with Friends of Ham Lands)
- Meadway Orchard, Twickenham: Wednesdays 10:45am–2pm (next to number 55 Meadway, opposite Twickenham Gardening Association gate)
We also run regular engagement activities in other green spaces in Ham and Twickenham, including Kneller Gardens, Mereway Nature Park, and Crane Park.
Everyone is welcome! Whether you want to get active, meet new people, or simply enjoy the outdoors, Grow Wild is a great way to make a difference and feel good.
