Peer Support Workers

Peer Support Workers at Havering Mind offer empathetic, recovery-focused support for people experiencing mental health challenges. Our team brings their own lived experience of mental distress or caring for someone with mental health difficulties, helping to build understanding and trust with those they support.

What we do:

  • Work in partnership with Statutory Services across Havering and Barking & Dagenham.
  • Support recovery-based programmes for local community members facing common or more severe mental health problems.
  • Provide help with living, wellbeing, and mental health through shared experience and practical support.
