Dementia friendly activities

Stay healthy, stay active, stay independent!

Age UK Berkshire offers a wide range of friendly, welcoming events and activities for older people across Berkshire. Many activities are low-cost or free, making it easy to join in and stay connected.

  • Monthly activity calendars for Wokingham, West Berkshire, and Windsor & Maidenhead areas help you find local events.
  • Special events like Older Persons' Day in Broad Street Mall, Reading, bring the community together for fun and information.
  • Regular activities include Tai Chi classes, singing groups, dementia cafes and memory cafes, carers support groups, dementia activities, gardening groups, and clinically-proven Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST) for people with dementia.
  • Online activities are available, so you can join from the comfort of your own home.

Our events are designed to help older people stay active, make new friends, and enjoy life. Whether you want to try something new, get support as a carer, or simply meet others in a welcoming environment, there's something for everyone.
