Second Hand Dance produce joyful, inspirational performances and digital dance films for children and adults. We collaborate with dancers, film makers, animators, musicians and our audiences in a co-creation process that places the audience experience at its centre.
Based in England, our work has a growing international profile as well as local and regional impact. We have toured the globe from the UK to Europe, China, Canada, the USA and Japan. Last year our double bill Grass Films were seen by nearly 6500 people, and so far in 2022 we have performed We Touch, We Play, We Dance over 60 times at 18 venues across the world.
Established in 2013, Second Hand Dance has an adaptive leadership model, and is run by disabled and non-disabled Co-Directors Rosie Heafford and Claire Summerfield.
