SPACE Hertfordshire is an award-winning charity dedicated to supporting families of children and young people who are neurodivergent, including those with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Tourette’s, and other neurodiverse conditions.
We offer a wide range of services designed to help families navigate local services, build confidence, share knowledge, and enjoy social opportunities where everyone can truly 'be themselves'.
- Support Groups: Friendly, informal in-person groups for parents and carers to meet, share experiences, and find community.
- 1:1 SEND Family Support: Free support from SEND Family Support Workers, available by phone or face-to-face.
- Events for Young People: Safe, inclusive, and engaging activities for neurodivergent children and young people across Hertfordshire.
- Workshops and Courses: Free online sessions for parents and carers covering many aspects of supporting neurodivergent children and young people.
- Lending SPACE: Families can borrow sensory, practical, and educational resources for free, and enjoy a sensory room for children to stay and play.
- Understanding My Autism and ADHD: A free, empowering programme for young people to learn more about neurodiversity and their own experiences.
We also offer a vibrant Facebook group for parent carers, regular newsletters, and opportunities to get involved through fundraising and volunteering.
All services are free unless otherwise stated. Our team is here to help whether you are just starting your journey or have an established diagnosis. Join us to connect, learn, and thrive together.
SPACE is needs led - no diagnosis is necessary.
