Sands is the leading UK charity dedicated to saving babies' lives and supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby.
We offer a wide range of free support services for bereaved families, including:
- Helpline: Compassionate listening and guidance from trained staff.
- Local support groups: Connect with others who understand your experience in a safe, welcoming environment.
- Online community: Access peer support and resources from anywhere, at any time.
- Bereavement support book: Practical advice and comfort for families navigating loss.
- Specialist support: For men, siblings, those bereaved longer ago, and Black and South Asian communities.
- Memory boxes and care boxes: Thoughtful keepsakes to help families remember their babies.
We also provide information on understanding why your baby died, returning to work after loss, and finding babies' graves or cremation records. Our services are available to all, regardless of how long ago your loss occurred or your background.
Professionals: Sands offers training, consultancy, and resources to improve bereavement care in healthcare settings.
