Lighthouse Food Club

Join the Lighthouse Food Club and access affordable, good-quality food while helping to reduce food waste in your community.

Our Food Club, the first of its kind in Cornwall, is run in partnership with Fareshare and Morrisons. We provide a friendly, confidential service for vulnerable people in the Liskeard and Looe area, including those who are isolated, elderly, disabled, or on a low income.

  • Membership costs just £5 per year.
  • Once you join, you can visit the shop once a week to purchase a bag of food items worth £15-£20 for only £4.00.
  • Additional essential items are available for a small fee.
  • Essentials Food Box: Available once per week (subject to availability), includes bread, milk, eggs, fish, soup, beans, rice, jar sauce, pasta, cereal, fruit, veg, tea, and more. Members pay just £5.00 per box plus delivery costs.
  • Delivery is available if needed (additional costs apply).
  • Open 5 days a week: Monday 12pm-4pm, Tuesday-Thursday 11am-4pm, Friday 11am-3pm.

Emotional support is also available, including face-to-face and telephone support, to help address individual issues and signpost to other organisations for further assistance.

We operate with kindness, care, and understanding, drawing on our own lived experiences. Our approach is informal, friendly, and non-judgmental, offering a safe place for social support.

  • Regular access to a sustainable supply of food for vulnerable people
  • Increase disposable income for local families
  • Reduce food waste by using surplus food
  • Encourage members to access local support services

Due to high demand, new memberships are currently on a waiting list. Please contact us to add your name and we will get in touch when a space becomes available.

  • “Just a message to say thank you, we have had chicken and veg pie, chicken casserole and a jam sponge and custard with plenty leftover for the freezer. Wouldn't have been able to do it without you, thanks again.”
