Redbridge Carers Support Service (RCSS) is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of unpaid carers across the diverse communities of Redbridge. We offer a wide range of services, support, and recognition to help carers feel valued, empowered, and connected.
Our services include:
- Health & Wellbeing support – We care about your health as a carer and provide resources and activities to help you look after yourself.
- Support groups and activities – Join our groups and events to connect with other carers, share experiences, and reduce isolation.
- Information and advice – Access practical guidance on caring, benefits, and local resources.
- Training and activities – Take part in workshops and online sessions designed to improve your wellbeing and skills.
- Volunteering opportunities – Get involved and make a difference in your community.
We also offer special initiatives such as postal activity packs for homebound carers, online theatre tickets, and digital support to help carers get online and join activities. Our impact is clear: 650 carers supported in the last 3 months and 91% have achieved positive outcomes.
Who is a carer? A carer is anyone providing unpaid care and support to someone who is ill, disabled, frail, or elderly.
To access our services, you can register online or contact us directly. We welcome carers from all backgrounds and aim to be as inclusive and accessible as possible.
Some activities may have a small cost (e.g. £5 for a postal activity pack, £10 for online theatre tickets, £5 for trips), but many services are free or subsidised. Please check individual events for details.
We are here to support you, whether you need advice, a friendly chat, or help connecting with others. Get in touch today and discover how RCSS can help you thrive as a carer.
